This book is too thin to be of much use to the rhododendron grower. The recommended varieties are somewhat quixotic. The best book on rhododendrons is by Kenneth Cox: Rhododendrons and Azaleas, A Colour Guide.
The second best is the older one by Harold Greer/5(13). This is a great book. It's divided into two sections; 25 pages are dedicated to the history and cultivation of rhododendrons and azaleas and the following pages form an encyclopaedia of plant species which is excellent in helping you decide what plants are best for your local soil and geography/5(30).
